In late summer, I came home one Saturday to find the tower above and all the pieces in my yard. And by yard, I mean next to the garage across the road the splits our property.
Haley had a swing set much smaller - you may remember the waterslide from our summer photos:
By the time our summer bowfishing tournaments were done, this swing set did not survive all the 13 year old and older crowd hanging all over it. The plan was to take both swing sets and make one amazing set.
Last Friday, Brian and Keith came over and Brian the master carpenter looked at all the pieces and created this:
Pretty darn genius! He made her a better ladder for the smaller tower that Jason still has to put on before Saturday and the only thing that made it over from the other swing set was the slide. Brian is cutting a block to life it up a bit so it doesn't break right off the tower.
So to the people who chose to dump this and not call and make sure we actually wanted it first, it all turned out okay in the end. (but a phone call would have been nice)
And then we have Luke. Luke who with the borrowed training collar is remembering his 7 days of training his former owner gave him years ago. In this picture I told him to stay. Apparently he didn't want his picture taken OR he was just avoiding an invisible treat that was not being held by his snout. Either way, he looks rather distinguished.
The Realtree Camo collar is his new collar officially making him a 'Quertermous' dog. The little wiener's have a pink camo and a green camo collar. Very cute. Jason prefers the realtree one, no big shocker there. The blue one is the training collar my MIL and FIL bought on TV. It actually works. I'll give it another couple weeks and we can remove it.
And by works I mean it works for me and for Jason. For Haley, not so much. He still has to be on a chain till we get his manhood removed to prevent him from you know, looking for love. (cuz Wrinkles sure ain't giving him any) Haley was just trying to help and he was good for two seconds. It took exactly two seconds for Luke to jump onto the porch, then do a fake out and head around the house and he was GONE. Gone till 11:30pm when I awoke to the familiar bark of Luke returning from his adventures.....again. I gotta call a vet.....
